Singapore Airlines’ Mobile App Adds Android Pay & Apple Pay As Payment Options

There is some good news for the frequent customers of Singapore Airlines as they can now enjoy a more convenient and faster payment method. The airline is introducing the Android Pay and Apple Pay mobile payment services on its award-winning mobile app.

This will let the passengers use the popular services, including paying for air tickets, redemption booking-related fees or for other purchases (preferred seat selection and travel insurance) at the time of booking.

The No.1 airline of the world adds Android Pay and Apple Pay options for the convenience of their customers. This will let them fill in payment information prior to making a purchase through the SingaporeAir app.

  • FOR ANDROID PAY: The credit or debit card details and billing addresses of customers are already stored in their Android Pay accounts.
  • FOR APPLE PAY: The card details are not stored on the mobile device. But a unique Device Account Number is assigned and securely stored in the Secure Element on the mobile device.

Mr Campbell Wilson (Singapore Airlines’ Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing) stated that “At Singapore Airlines, we are constantly exploring how we can improve the customer experience across our digital touchpoints.
