Qatar Airways’ Luxurious New ‘Qsuite’ Seats Now Flying From USA

Qatar Airways has introduced its new “Qsuites” cabin in New York. Here, passengers get the glimpse of the newest and swankiest business-class suite.

What is a QSuite?

Qsuite” is a seat that can be effectively transformed into a “fully private suite”. It features an extra-large entertainment screen, a fully flat bed and electronic plugs for the ease and proper comfort of flyers. These are arranged in a staggered 1 – 2 – 1 pattern for more privacy.

Qatar Airways will start services to 250 destinations by 2022. So if you love to fly with Qatar then get ready to enjoy the journey with QSuites. The newlyannounced upcoming global destinations are Luxembourg, Tallinn, Estonia; Valletta, Malta, Cebu, Davao, Philippines; Langkawi, Malaysia Da Nang, and Vietnam.

The new suite seats of Qatar Airways are the latest addition to a constant game of one-upmanship among the world’s premier airlines. Talking about the other airlines which have also rolled out new premium cabins; they are Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. Since 2017, the airlines are featuring suites-style seats.

Günter Saurwein (Qatar Airways’ Vice President) has stated that “Our goal is obviously to be one step ahead of the curve.”

He added, with this Qatar Airways’ new Qsuite design, we’ve raised the bar for everybody.

Passengers will get the glimpse of these newest seats on Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 jets. These will fly the bulk of the carrier’s longest routes. Qsuites is installed in more than a half-dozen planes. Within two years, the carrier expects them to roll out to all of the A350s and 777s in its fleet. Every time, a new aircraft will arrive with the new suites whereas the existing aircraft will be retrofitted.

Now it is available in four different types of aircraft:

Boeing 777-200LR
Boeing777-300ER
Airbus A350-900
Airbus A350-1000

‘Qsuites’ supports seats that can be converted to lie-flat beds. These can be closed off from the aisle by sliding privacy doors.

By lowering the privacy divider, the two sets of Qsuites can be combined into a single pod also in case couples are traveling together. Similarly, the pods can be converted into a double bed. This type of facility to business class passengers is first of its kind.

Another unique feature is that Qatar Airways’ Qsuites cabin supports the ‘quad option’. This will allow the four suites to be combined into a shared space for up four people traveling together. If four people are not traveling together the quad arrangement also can accommodate either two or three people flying together.

Qatar Airways Qsuite Routes: Not all seats are QSuites and it is quite difficult to know if your desired route has QSuite or not. So, one thing you can do is that search your flight on the website of Qatar Airways.
