India’s Aviation Market To Be 3rd Largest By 2027

Mumbai: India set to be the third largest aviation market in the world by 2027 with the continuous growth in its domestic passenger traffic.

As per the report of CAPA i.e. Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation; in the upcoming 10 years, around 2.6 million direct, indirect and induced jobs will be generated through India’s aviation market.

It means if you are a teenager now, then pursuing a career in aviation market can prove quite helpful for you. Currently, there are 6,772 pilots and by 2027, it would need 16,802.

Talking about the cabin crew, there will more than double the vacancies and maintenance engineers will also see quite a big jump.

Overall by 2027, there will be 142% growth in jobs related to pilots, flight attendants, engineers, administration, and management staff in the Indian commercial airline and general aviation industry.

As per the reports, currently we require a massive investment in training and education infrastructure; both in infrastructure standards of training and quality of instructors.
