Delta to add non-stop Pittsburgh-Boston flights for business travelers
Two daily non-stop flights from Pittsburgh to Boston are going to start from the month of October by Delta Airlines. And the main reason behind this is the rapid increase in the demand from the travelers, especially from the business one.
A number of business travelers are flying between these two routes; hence Delta needs to announce its plans to add two daily non-stop flights between the respective cities.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports, the daily flights will depart from the Pittsburgh International Airport for the Logan International Airport at 6 am and 6:40 pm respectively. And for Boston to Pittsburgh flights, the timings related to taking off are at 8:10 am and 7:55 pm each day.
This whole trip will take about an hour and 35 minutes.
Recently in this month, Delta Air Lines has also introduced its plans for the new non-stop flights in the next year i.e. 2018. And this will be arranged by Delta from Boston to New Orleans and will be seasonal.
A news release from the Allegheny County Airport Authority (manages Pittsburgh’s airport) stated that the flights are timed for the convenience of the Business class passengers in both the cities. Along with this, Boston is one of the top destinations from Pittsburgh.
Airlines like JetBlue and American have already offered the non-stop flights between these two routes i.e. Pittsburgh and Boston.
This new service of Delta will be operated by the Delta Connection carrier Endeavor Air, Inc., of Minneapolis. Delta will use the Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft which can support around 86 passengers in total.
Christina Cassotis, authority CEO stated that “We know there continues to be pent up demand for nonstop air service to a number of markets and this is another non-stop option for travelers to New England.”
