Uber Partners with AAI for rides from 4 Indian airports

MUMBAI: On Thursday, Uber (American Technology Transport Company) announced a partnership with the AAI i.e. Airports Authority of India. This partnership takes place in order to make it easier for the riders to get a ride at the airport just with a click of a button.

As of now, this new service will be operated in the four major Indian airports that are Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, and Bhubaneshwar. Passengers can get a glimpse of this facility within the next couple of weeks.

One of the company spokespeople has stated that “Through this partnership, Uber aims to make it more convenient and reliable for riders to get an Uber at the airport, making travel seamless and hassle-free.”

To make it more convenient and easy for the passengers, Uber will set up booking zones at the airports. Multiple travelers who do not have the app can easily book a ride through them.

The app officials also manage to support dedicated pickup zone outside the arrival terminals, on-ground assistance and clear signages, which guides the travelers to their car for pick up.

In addition to that, the Uber app will also enable the riders to get specific pick up instructions. This will include details like the terminal and door number so that they can easily reach their Uber driver.

According to one of the spokesperson, this new feature will help in providing the better pick up experience for both the riders and the driver’s partners.
