As a result of acute competition among several airlines, passengers can witness a number of exciting offers from the airlines. To be better than the other, airlines come with something new and attractive for the customers.
In the same range, the JetBlue Airways are offering free, high-speed internet facilities to the customers of domestic flights. Hence the airline is selected as the top domestic airline for overall Wi-Fi service in an internet comparison site. The airline not only tops the ranking for onboard internet service but has also impressed a lot of clients.
The ranking is calculated by Highspeedinternet.com and place Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Virgin America after JetBlue. This site not only considered the speed of the connection but also the cost and the availability on every plane.
As per the details of the ranking, JetBlue ranks first because the New York-based carrier offers free Wi-Fi with speeds of 15 megabits per second on 100% of its domestic fleet.
After that, there is Southwest airline which ranked second because it offers Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 10 Mbps for $8 per flight on 90% of its fleet.
Then the third place is captured by Virgin America. The airline offers internet connections on 100% of its fleet but it comes with a price of up to $25 (depending on the length of the flight). The speed it offers is 15 Mbps which is perfect to enjoy a movie or show onboard.
AIRLINES DON’T OFFER INTERNET SERVICES:
According to the ranking, Frontier, Hawaiian and Spirit Airways are the only three major U.S. carriers that offer no onboard Wi-Fi at all.
On the name of entertainment, Hawaiian Airlines offer movies and television shows on a seatback entertainment system. And magazines are offered by Frontier and Spirit Airways.
