Cathay Pacific Partners With Pure Yoga To Bring Yoga To The Sky!
In order to launch a new in-flight well-being programme, www.cathaypacific.com has partnered with Pure Yoga. The programme is known as ‘Travel Well with Yoga’.
To help passengers ease into their journeys with yoga and meditation exercises and tips, a series of videos have been developed by esteemed Pure Yoga instructors in harmony with the ‘Life Well Travelled’ campaign of the airline.
There is an option of picking different languages to view ‘Travel Well with Yoga’. It includes English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese across all Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon routes. You can choose your option by accessing the Lifestyle section on their in-flight entertainment screens.
There will be six easy-to-follow videos of a series which demonstrates yoga and meditation routines to the respective passengers. It will feature Patrick Creelman; the founding teacher and Almen Wong; the senior instructor & co-founder. These yoga and meditation activities can be done by the passengers before, during or after a flight.
According to Cathay Pacific, these exercises are designed in order to improve blood circulation, enhance joint mobility and relax the mind for a comfortable journey.
“We all know that sitting still for a long period of time can be uncomfortable and there is a need to get up, move and get your blood pumping is important during a flight.” – Stated by Cathay Pacific Entertainment, Platforms and Connectivity Manager Simon Cuthbert.
There are a series of exercises that can easily be done from an economy class seat whilst other moves are suitable for after the flight in your hotel, he added.
Talking about the benefits, all Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club members can enjoy a complimentary 10-day trial of Pure Yoga along with a 50 percent discount on studio joining fees. There will be a complimentary upgrade for access to all Pure Yoga studios across Asia too.
