Air India Introduces New Flights Connecting USA To Mumbai-Bangalore Route

The Mumbai-Bengaluru route is now served by Air India. This brings the total number of flights between Mumbai and Bengaluru to four. On August 20, 2022, the airline announced 24 new domestic flights, including the new BOM-BLR flights. In addition to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai, most of these additional flights will serve metro cities.
In a tweet, Air India shared the following statement: “Be ready for more flying options between Mumbai and Bengaluru as we introduce a new flight between these cities effective 20th August. There are now a total of 4 flights to choose from. Now enjoy more comfort, more choice, and more convenience.”
Air India Launches 24 Additional Flights
From Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad as well as Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad, Air India added two new frequencies. In addition, one new frequency has been added to the Mumbai-Bengaluru and Ahmedabad-Pune routes.
In a statement, Air India announced: “The additional 24 flights include two new frequencies from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, and Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad, as well as one new frequency on the Mumbai-Bengaluru route and Ahmedabad-Pune route.”
By 2023, Air India Will Have All its Aircraft in Service
Currently, 54 narrow-body aircraft are operational in Air India’s narrow-body fleet. The remaining 16 aircraft will also return to service by 2023.

Air India has been working closely with our partners to return aircraft to service over the past six months, and we are delighted that our efforts are now paying off.”
In addition, the airline plans to buy more than 200 new planes, 70% of which will be narrow-bodied.
