UAE Bans Travel For Unvaccinated Citizens Amid Rising COVID 19 Cases!

As the number of Covid 19 cases around the globe continues to rise, countries are taking stern steps to keep a check on their citizens and to contain the virus from further spreading. The recent news is coming from the United Arab Emirates, where UAE has banned its citizens from travel who have not taken the Coronavirus vaccine.

A joint statement has been issued by Foreign Ministry and The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority that said “Ban on Travel on UAE citizens unvaccinated with #Covid19 vaccine, starting Jan 10, 2022, with a requirement to obtain the booster dose for the fully vaccinated. With an exemption for medically exempted from taking the vaccine, humanitarian & treatment cases.”

It has also been added that all vaccinated persons willing to travel need to take booster shots as per National Protocol for Booster Doses.

Recently the USA and Europe have registered a high number of Covid 19 cases especially for the Omicron variant which has been declared as a Variant of Concern by the World Health Organisation.

On Saturday, UAE records nearly 2,550 cases of COVID 19, which takes the total tally of Covid cases in UAE to 7,64,493.
