Women kicked off the plane for a crying baby! Do you want this happens with you also? No, right! So you can actually save yourself from happening this with you. How? Check out some tips and hacks how to survive while flying with baby-toddler:

1) Charges and regulation of different airlines:

Different airlines have different rules. Check out the table which explains all the variations which you need to be aware of:

Airline Infant fare Freehold luggage allowance for baby equipment
British Airways 10% of adult fare 1 pushchair + 1 car seat + 1 x hold luggage (allowance included in adult weight allowance)
Emirates 10% of adult fare 2 of the following items: 1 x pushchair and 1 x carrier/car seat plus 10kg of hold luggage

The compact folding stroller that meets the carry-on baggage size guidelines (9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches or 9 inches x 10 inches x 17 inches)

JetBlue Airways free if held in lap; ticketed fare if in the reserved seat

2) Correct flight at the correct time:

Parents are well aware of the habits of their toddlers! You are the better person to tell, whether your toddler super-cranking at the dinner time, then you should avoid booking 5 pm flight or does your child need a full night sleep then don’t pick 6 am flight too. In-short always tries to book a flight as per your baby’s habits. According to me, mid-morning flights will fall in your favor, you can try that too.

3) Visit washroom once before the flight:

It is suggested to board the plane with a dry diapered child. So, before finally begin your journey you should surely hit the washroom once, where you can use diaper cream and put your baby into two diapers for extra leak protection. If you will use the washroom before there will less inconvenience to you and for other passengers too. It is better to be safe than to be stinky (and sorry)

4)  Fasten your baby’s seat belt:

Your child should be safe and secured in all possible ways. That is why it is very important to buckle the seat belt, be that car or airplane, the seat belt is extremely important for one’s safety. That is true that you need to unbuckle the belt for a diaper change, stretching legs or lavatory use, especially during the long flights. But once you are done with all these make sure that you will buckle the seat belt again. This is the best way to stay securely fasten as long as reasonable.

5) Protection of ears is must:

Chewing a cracker or cookies helps to reduce the ease of ear pain caused by the pressure changes. Bring a bottle of milk but it should not be more than 3.4 ounces as per the airline’s policy of restricted items . As this will keep your child busy and you will able to buckle up your junior safely both while take-off and landing. Even you can earphones into the little ears to avoid the excess pressure.

6) Pack yourself full with snacks:

Food is simply a magic wand! Whenever your child feels hungry you can serve them with best of snacks even before the in-flight meal is served. Chocolates, Raisins, bananas, apples, breadsticks, and mini sausages are all good. Frozen yogurt  pouches, anything or everything which make them feel cool; you can pack for the trip. Make sure the snack will not contain any liquid as liquid more than 100ml will not be allowed by the security check.
