Singapore Airlines Launches Digital Innovation Blueprint!
To Become ‘Leading Digital Airline In The World’; the flag carrier airline of Singapore; SIA has launched its Digital Innovation Blueprint. The airline also unveiled its bilateral partnerships with the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research, Economic Development Board, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the National University of Singapore.
The main focus of the Singapore Airline is to boost its digital capabilities. Hence, this Digital Innovation Blueprint is just a part of the airline’s ongoing transformation programme.
As per the airline, it has been progressively building an open innovation culture across the Group. For that, it includes staff involvement in digital projects and supporting employees through digital training.
Based upon the recent report of FTE, a digital innovation lab is also being set up to enable staff to work with innovative companies. This includes startups, incubators, and accelerators in order to help stimulate new ideas and facilitate collaboration in a creative environment.
On the same, Goh Choon Phong (Singapore Airlines CEO) stated that “The SIA Group has been investing heavily to enhance our digital capabilities as part of our ongoing transformation efforts, and the new bilateral partnerships announced today will take things to the next level. Our partnerships with these key agencies also signify our commitment to developing Singapore as a digital hub in the wider aviation and travel industry.”
