Qatar Airways Soaring High in Dubai at Arabian Travel Market

Qatar Airways has again made its strong presence felt at the recently concluded Arabian Travel Market, a leading international travel and tourism event. Thousands of visitors were left impressed with Qatar Airways trademark hospitality, showcased in its two-storey stand, moreover, the visitors to the event were well informed about the over 150 travel destinations, around the world, offered by the airline.

Mr. Akbar al Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways Group was lavish in his praise of the international travel and tourism event. He was also quick to note that the aviation and tourism industry is achieving greater success in the Middle East and Qatar Airways strives to meet the high expectations of its passengers, whenever and wherever they fly. The airline is considered a leading trendsetting airline, hence the award they have received of the World’s Best Airline, acknowledges this fact.

On the first day of the travel event, Mr. Baker inaugurated a new and luxurious travel lounge at Dubai International Airport, further strengthening his assurance of giving quality service to the local and valued UAE customers.

Mr. Baker, along with other leading leaders and dignitaries from the aviation and travel industry, took part in a session hosted by celebrity Chair John Strickland. The session was heavily attended and touched many issues related to the latest innovations and security pertaining to the travel industry.

Mr. Baker also announced a list of new destinations to be launched in 2016 by Qatar Airways, including Adelaide in Australia, Auckland in New Zealand- making it the world’s longest flight. The new destinations in the African continent are: Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Lusaka in Zambia, Marrakech in Morocco and Windhoek in Namibia. Apart from these, the new European travel routes are for Helsinki- Finland, Nice- France and Pisa- Italy. In addition to these, there are further routes added to Qatar Airways already extensive list, such as, Krabi- Thailand, Sarajevo- Bosnia, Seychelles and Yerevan- Armenia. All these new destinations have joined a growing list of routes already started earlier this year, like flights to Los Angeles, Ras Al Khaimah, Sydney, Birmingham and Boston.

Qatar Airways and its CEO, showcased Qatar Airways Premium Lounge on 28th April, along with the newly opened Concourse D at Dubai International Airport, amongst the august presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group. The new lounge will cater to First and Business Class passengers, as well as Privilege Club Platinum and Gold members. The new premium lounge is a contemporary and refined private space offering relaxation to the passengers before they commence their journey. The interiors are well designed and showcase Arabian calligraphy, Mediterranean- style tiles and soothing water fountains. The lounge also offers private family areas, shower facilities, spacious seating area and a world class buffet.
