Etihad Airways Offers Economy Passengers A Taste Of Business Class

The flag carrier of UAE; Etihad Airways is offering a little taste of flying Business Class when you’re cramped back in Economy.

Yes, it is true as the airline has plans to start selling a selection of comfort items to that on-board. This will include amenity kits with skincare products, cold brew coffee, champagne, sleepwear and snack boxes.

You can get the glimpse of all this on some selected routes to and from Abu Dhabi.

As per the statement of the analysts, some passengers are likely to be buying some of those products on long-haul flights.

The idea of sales of these premium products to Economy Class passengers is to introduce paid-for lounge access, neighbor-free seats, and extra-legroom seats.

The carrier also had introduced similar offers earlier. That includes the charging passengers for seat-selection and access to its premium lounges.

In the present time, the two other major carriers in the region Emirates, as well as Qatar Airways, don’t have premium economy cabins.

As per the statement of Etihad, it will monitor guest satisfaction with the launch, and aims to expand the range of items sold.

Linda Celestino (vice president for guest experience and delivery) also said that “Etihad Airways is always looking at new ways to give our guests more power and control over their experience, through options to customize and personalize their journey.”

The new products include Christian Lacroix amenity kits with Omorovicza skincare along with the Coffee Planet cold brew and Christian Lacroix sleepwear.
