LAX CHANGES TERMINALS FOR 15 AIRLINES ON MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND
Los Angeles: For passengers traveling through the Los Angeles International Airport, there are certain changes which you can experience out there as the terminal has been shuffled for around 21 airlines and it all begin from Saturday.
As this is the MOTHER’S DAY Weekend, hence it could be a busy month for the airport and a sudden increment in the number of passengers can be seen every year. You can also avail special discounts from various airlines and tips to celebrate this Mother’s Day.
The officials of the airport suggested the passengers to do checking with the specific airline before arriving and do look out for multiple signs to get to the desired area because about 15 airlines will move to different terminals for the next five days.
As of now, the biggest airline i.e. Delta is moving from terminals 5 and 6 to terminal 2 & 3. This switch will lead to minimizing the delays for takeoff and landings according to Delta officials.
The 3 largets airlines at LAX – United, Delta, and American Airlines were all on the south side before the shuffle which led to hang-ups at the gate.
But now, Delta can enjoy the facility of more gates at the north side and plans to spend around $1.9 billion to renovate both the terminals i.e. 2 and 3 as well as connect them to Tom Bradley International Terminal.
The new move will end soon on 17th of May and a total of 21 airlines will be moved around and six have already switched.

TERMINAL 2:
Delta, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia, Aer Lingus, Volaris, and WestJet. Volaris & Virgin Australia passengers should check-in at T2 and are bused to TBIT for departure and arrivals. Aeromexico remains in the Terminal 2 only but has relocated its ticketing counters.
TERMINAL 3:
Delta but Interjet, Copa and Avianca passengers can only check-in.
TERMINAL 5:
JetBlue, Spirit, Frontier, Sun Country, Hawaiian, and Allegiant.
TERMINAL 6:
Virgin America joins its corporate partner Alaska Airlines. You can catch Air Canada and XL Airways France from the Terminal 2. Great Lakes and Mokulele remain in Terminal 6. Boutique Air relocates from Terminal 3 over here.
TBIT:
Southwest Airlines International flights will arrive at TBIT while the international departures and check-in remain in Terminal 1. Departures and arrivals of Avianca, InterJet & Copa will be at TBIT. Thomas Cook Airlines resumes seasonal service in May with departures and arrivals temporarily from TBIT.
Apart from that, shuttle buses will be available to take anyone who gets lost to the right terminal.
