Air India and Jet Airways Offer Special Privileges To Students Going Abroad To Study This Summer
If you are planning to go abroad for studying, then you need to know that the Jet Airways and Air India have extended special privileges regarding that.
As per the reports, more than 4 lakh students will travel from India to abroad in the session of 2016-17.
This particular program will cover numerous students from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal who hold confirmed admissions for studying at universities or the institutions located in Australia, USA, Singapore, Canada, Europe, Malaysia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and United Kingdom (UK).
This new program by Air India will cover all the flights operated by the national carrier from India to several destinations which involve Madrid, Vienna, Osaka, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, New York, Newark, Moscow, Milan and various other routes.
Under this ‘eduJetter’ program, students who carry out the process of studying in abroad for the academic year 2017-18 are allowed to carry the baggage of 69 kg.
In order to avail all these facilities, the student can go to the eduJetter page on the Jet Airways website to fill an online request form, once their tickets are booked. After that, the student will receive an updated ticket from the particular airline with applicable eduJetter benefits within the next 72 hours. This program has also been expanded this year as now it includes all the code share flights operated by the Hong Kong Airlines.
As per the Air India Maharaja Scholars’ Offer 2017, students are allowed to travel on a valid student visa or student exchange visa which let them carry an extra 23kg bag free on board in all flights to the US and Europe. On the other flights to Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Sydney and Melbourne, the additional baggage allowance is 20 kg.
