Cathay Pacific To Introduce Wi-Fi To Travelers In 2018

Cathay Pacific has become the latest airline which will be introducing high-speed Wi-Fi to its Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 fleets. This service will start by mid-2018.

This new service will let the passengers do stuff like checking emails, browsing the web, accessing their social accounts and shopping online in their Wi-Fi enabled devices (laptops, tablets, and smartphones).

According to the officials of the airline, this new addition is launched due to the customer’s growing demand for in-flight connectivity.

The airline has plans to offer in-flight connectivity in all its aircraft by 2020.

In Asia, Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon will be the first major carriers to adopt Gogo’s 2Ku satellite-based broadband in-flight connectivity technology. Airlines like Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft will be the first where this thing will be installed.

This will allow the Cathay passengers to be connected anytime and anywhere.
