Qatar Airways Launches Pre-Order Dining Service
A new pre-select dining option has been introduced by the Qatar Airways for its premium passengers on some selected routes departing Doha.
With this new service, the business class and first class passengers can pre-order the main course of their preference between 14 days to 24 hours before departure. You can do so by logging into My Trips section of the Qatar official website or through the carrier’s app.
This new service is available on selected flights only, including flights from Doha to Europe, Australia, North and South America and New Zealand. There are also plans to extend this service to other regions too but that may take place later this year.
Along with that, with this new option, combined with the existing dine-on-demand service, means that the premium passengers will now be able to board their flight in the comfort and knowledge that their pre-selected dish is reserved and waiting for them whenever they are ready to dine, giving them more time to relax and enjoy the airline’s superior onboard entertainment and amenities”.
If you are thinking that Qatar Airlines may be the first carrier to launch such a service for the premium customers, then that’s not true. Before this, two popular airlines have also launched such services for their passengers, including:
- Singapore Airlines has also offered a Book the Cook service for its suites, first, business and premium economy passengers.
- And the British Airways too allows its first Club World and World Traveler Plus travelers to pre-order meals on selected flights from Gatwick and Heathrow, and World Traveler passengers also have the option of purchasing in-flight meals in advance.
