“Requirement for Negative Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test Result or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 for all Airline or Other Aircraft Passengers Arriving into the United States from Any Foreign Country.” As per the order, all passengers, two years and older who were traveling to the United States from a foreign country were required to furnish a negative covid-19 report or documentation of recovery before they board their flight.
According to the latest developments the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has rescinded the order and would no longer be in effect from 12th June, 2022.
On December 6, 2021, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), amended the order dated October 25, 2021, “Requirement for Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test or Recovery from COVID-19 for All Air Passengers Arriving in the United States.” This amendment updated about the requirements of the covid-19 negative report or documentation of recovery for passengers boarding flights from foreign countries to the United States.
The order went into effect after 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT) on December 6, 2021 and was later published in the Federal Register on December 7, 2021.
