Alaska Airline Decided To Offer New Seasonal Menu Option With West Coast Vibe!
Alaska Airlines just come out with a new, seasonally-inspired Main Cabin food and beverage menu. The airline decided to offer local ingredients that are popular on the West Coast after researching and taking into account what flyers actually want. These include avocados, berries, asparagus, artichokes and cage-free eggs, among other items. Guests in Main Cabin will also enjoy more craft beer choices, while an improved wine program will be introduced this fall.
Alaska Airlines is drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and California. The airline feels it can offer a consistent and delicious experience for travelers, all while offering the West Coast experience.

- The new menu items are already available for pre-order on the airline’s mobile app.
- Pre-order is only available for those flying on Boeing planes.
- Those flying on Embraer or Airbus aircraft will have to wait till early 2019.
- The seasonally-inspired summer menu is available through November 15.
- Breakfast is served on flights longer than three hours and is served between 6 am and 10 am.
- Lunch and dinner are also offered on flights longer than three hours and is served between 10 am and 8 pm.
They can choose the signature fruit and cheese platter if passengers just want to snack on fruit and cheese. This is available all day on Boeing/Airbus flights lasting more than two hours, as well as on Embraer flights over three hours.
The new locally-inspired menu offers plenty of breakfast options. Guests can choose a croissant sandwich or a protein platter featuring Greek yogurt, seasonal fruit, Beecher’s Flagship Cheese, non-GMO turkey and more. For lunch and dinner, there is the protein platter, which includes hummus and pita, all-natural grilled chicken, walnuts, a cage-free hard-boiled egg and more. Also on offer is the turkey artichoke baguette and the West Coast cobb salad.
Alaska Airlines has been stepping up its game in a bid to appeal to more travelers. By offering free movies and texting, satellite Wi-Fi and an improved First Class experience, the airline is clearly competing with the legacy carriers. Furthermore, by the end of the year, roughly half of Alaska’s mainline fleet will receive a cabin interior facelift.
