Hartsfield-Jackson Still World’s Busiest Airport According To Global Ranking!
On Monday, a global ranking of airlines is released. And according to them, it is confirmed that Hartsfield-Jackson International remains the world’s busiest airport, in spite of a slight decline in passengers.
Airports Council International’s ranking of the busiest airports on the basis of by counting the total number of flights depart and arrive at the airport and also on the passenger across the airport. These elements kept the Atlanta airport in the No. 1 spot with 103.9 million passengers in 2017, down 0.3 percent from the previous year.

While Atlanta airport remains the world’s busiest for flight counts but it is the airports that had a decline in total flights last year.
According to Airports Council International, “Though there has been weaker growth in aircraft movements especially in certain North American and European markets following the Great Recession, this is consistent with the move towards operations and capacity to increase aircraft load factors and improve yields.”
