Saudi Arabia Bans All International Flights to 16 Countries Including India
After witnessing the surge in the Covid-19 cases, Saudi Arabia has announced a ban on flights to India. The other fifteen nations are Venezuela, Belarus, Armenia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Libya, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.
It means the Saudi Arabia citizens who wanted to travel to these nations now won’t be allowed to travel. Though there aren’t any guidelines about Indian nationals traveling to Saudi Arabia. According to India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, this Sunday (22 May) India recorded 2,226 fresh cases of Covid-19 in just 24 hours.
The World Health Organization (WHO) which had already warned about covid-19 not being over yet presents a strong reason to be careful for all of us. It’s imperative to wear masks and avoid crowded places as much as possible.
The number of cases has certainly declined after the Omicron cases reached the peak but World Health Organization’s Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus addressed the governments and said that “we lower our guard at our peril”. At the same time, the General Director of Passports through immigration division Jawazat, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has laid emphasis on Saudi nationals intending to travel to non Arab countries they will require a passport having a validity of six months.
It’s also required that Saudis who travel out of the Kingdom will have to be vaccinated with three doses of vaccines for corona virus.
