When you are traveling through the air, packing of stuff does make a lot of difference. It would be advisable to the first – time travelers to use the mantra “Less Is More” while carrying different stuff. Not only it will make it easy for you to carry that stuff but it also helps you to pass through the security line. You will definitely save your time if you pack with this in mind regarding certain items.

Following are some of the items which are fully-restricted or fully-allowed or partially allowed on the planes.

A)  FULLY RESTRICTED ITEMS ON PLANES:

Let’s discuss the items which are fully restricted items on the planes and one should never take the risk of carrying it there.

  • ALCOHOL OVER 140 PROOF:

B)  PARTIALLY ALLOWED ITEMS ON PLANES:

These types of items are divided into 3 categories i.e.

  1. Items which can be carried either in your carry-on or in your checked-in baggage.
  2. Items which need some special instruction.
  3. Items which have some limit attached to it.

More than fully restricted items, there are items which are partially allowed for the passengers to carry. Let’s discuss them in detail:

Following items are either can be carried in your checked bag or in the carry-on but not in both.

  • BEAR SPRAY:

You are allowed to carry one 118 milliliters or 4 fluid ounce container of mace or pepper spray in your checked bag (with a maximum concentration of 2% active ingredient).

2) Items which need some special instruction.

Certainly, there are some items which are allowed to carry but need some special instructions. Following is the list of items which lies in this category:

Passengers are allowed to carry some items that are not in the list of prohibited items but because of how they appear on the X-ray or the security concerns, these may need additional screening that might result in not being allowed through the checkpoint.
