Air India Links Hyderabad to US, Direct Flight Three Times A Week

Hyderabad: There is some good news for the people of Hyderabad and all the Hyderabadis residing in the United States. Air India has announced its very first direct flight from Hyderabad (India) to Washington (US).

This new flight has been started from 8th of July. Air India’s new flight Air India 104 will connect Washington with Hyderabad via Delhi and passengers can enjoy this service three times a week. After Chicago, Washington will be the 2nd city of USA which will connect with Hyderabad.

On this occasion, the CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd; SGK Kishore who also operates Rajiv Gandhi International Airport stated that “As the gateway to the south and central India, we are glad to add Washington to our international network.”

He added, “We are thankful to Air India for launching this new service as this will provide a convenient option for travel between south as well as central India and Washington along with the other nearby areas in the US which are home to a large Indian diaspora especially from Telangana.”

He further added, “This new Air India flight will provide a hassle free experience to passengers traveling from Washington as they will be able to check-in their bags through to Hyderabad and complete immigration and customs formalities after their arrival at Hyderabad. Soon Hyderabad airport will also get connected with Sri Lanka giving an additional travel and tourism option to our passengers.”

More than 675,000 passengers travel between Hyderabad and United States per year.
